Belinda Jarrett (Belle) is an Australian actress best known for her work on iconic Australian television dramas and her role in the global hit film Muriel’s Wedding (1994). Born in Sydney, New South Wales, Belle began her screen career in the early 1990s and quickly became a familiar face on Australian TV.

Belle's breakthrough came with her portrayal of Karen Dean on the long-running soap opera Home and Away, a role she played from 1990 to 1993. Her character was central to several memorable storylines, including a dramatic criminal arc that captured audiences.

She also appeared in an episode of the beloved Australian drama A Country Practice in 1992, showcasing her versatility across different genres of television.

In 1994, Belle made her transition to film with a supporting role in Muriel’s Wedding, a critically acclaimed and commercially successful Australian comedy directed by P.J. Hogan. In the film she played Janine, one of Muriel’s bridesmaids — a part in a movie that went on to achieve international popularity and remains a cherished classic of Australian cinema.

Although Muriel’s Wedding was her last credited on-screen role, Belle's contributions to Australian screen culture — especially her work in Home and Away — have left a lasting impression on fans of Australian television and film.

After this period of on-screen work, Belle transitioned from acting into media and communications. She has built a successful career in radio broadcasting and social media content production, combining her industry experience with a passion for storytelling and audience engagement.

Today, Belle resides in the Beaches area of southern Sydney, New South Wales, where she balances her professional work in media with family life. She is married and a mother of two children, and continues to contribute creatively and strategically across digital and broadcast platforms.
